Age Groups and Events:

All ages as of December 31st of current year. 

Co-ed                          12-14 years of age     

Co-ed                          15-20 years of age     

Co-ed                          21-54 years of age                

Co-ed                          55-64 years of age

Senior Co-ed           65 and over years of age       

 

Note: Age groups may be combined depending on number of participants registered.      

 

Events

  1. Standard Pistol Match 60 shots total          Slow Timed Rapid

Format:

A shooter may compete in a maximum of two events.

 

Standard Pistol Match is for rimfire firearms and features a sight-in stage followed by

4 stages of 5 rounds fired in 150 seconds per stage, followed by 4 stages of 5 rounds fired in 20 seconds per stage, followed by 4 stages of 5 rounds fired in 10 seconds per stage. Seven (7) targets in total will be used.

 

Centre Fire Pistol Match is for center-fire firearms 45 caliber or less and features a sight-in stage followed by 6 stages of 5 rounds fired in 150 seconds per stage. Four (4) targets in total will be used.

 

Novice Rim Fire Match limited to novice shooters with limited competition experience, is for rimfire firearms and features a sight-in stage followed by 6 stages of 5 rounds fired in 150 seconds per stage. Four (4) targets in total will be used.

 

Novice Centre Fire Match limited to novice shooters with limited competition experience, is for center-fire firearms 45 caliber or less and features a sight-in stage followed by 6 stages of 5 rounds fired in 150 seconds per stage. Four (4) targets in total will be used.

 

Regional Representation:

Open registration - no limit on the number of athletes from each region. 

Rules and Regulations:

  1. Shooting Federation of Canada and ISSF rules are in
  2. All shooters must be present 15 minutes prior to
  3. Every athlete must be able to produce appropriate
  4. All events are shot at 20
  5. No coaching for shooters except for shooters less than 18 years of
  1. All shooters under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a coach/guardian who is at    least 18 with a valid firearms
  2. Eye and ear protection must be worn at all
  3. All handguns must have open
  4. Target load ammunition No magnum loads.
  5. All handguns and ammunition will be inspected by the Range Officer for safety.
  6. Taber Pistol Club Range Rules in effect at all
  7. Range Officer has final say in any
  8. Events 1 and 2 will follow Shooting Federation of Canada Rules for the Standard Pistol Match and the Center Fire Pistol
  9. Events 3 and 4 are limited to novice shooters with limited competition
  10. Events 3 and 4 will be shot slow fire and most safe handguns will be
  11. Anyone can be disqualified for any rule
  12. All participants are expected to abide by all laws concerning

Registration Deadline:

Registration Deadline as designated by your Regional Director

All registrations are done through your Regional Director, who will determine the Regional Deadline.The registration fee must also be submitted to your Regional Director. Signed consent forms must accompany the waivers.

 No late registrations will be accepted.
